With the increasing demand for innovative, environmentally friendly, and durable construction materials, this presentation seeks to enhance awareness and confidence among designers, builders and owners regarding GFRP technology.
Notably, MST-BAR offers significant benefits, including high strength, light weight, high corrosion resistance in aggressive environmental conditions, reduced maintenance requirements, and lower lifecycle costs, making it the sustainable choice and the right solution for durable, long-lasting concrete.
The presentation will cover several critical topics including:
- Current measures taken to mitigate corrosion of steel reinforcement
- Why GFRP Rebar is the solution
- Pros/cons of GFRP Rebar
- Field Application Examples
- Constructability
- Case Studies – Performance and Costs
- Material Properties
- Standards for Material Specifications
- Value Engineering Process
